Shabbat Shalom

Today is Shabbat and I am contemplating future topics to write about which will educate and benefit the Messianic LGBT Community. Here is a foretaste of topics planned over the comming weeks:

Does the Bible really teach that everyone will be saved?

This blog is being read all over the world and it is our prayer that it will encourage believers in Messiah, that they can be both gay as well as authentic in their faith. We want to offer people hope and show them that the Gospel of Grace is more wonderful, awesome and encouraging than we could possibly imagine. The greatest story ever told really is The Greatest Story EVER Told.

We live in terrifying and exciting times. The Bible is above all a book of hope. And although the time of Jacob's trouble lies ahead, it is also wise to remember that it is always darkest before dawn.

Who are we?

We are GLBT Jews and Gentiles who believe that Yeshua is the Jewish Messiah. We are His Talmidim (Disciples) and we are associated with the International Messianic Community of Faith (IMCF), based in Australia. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of the G-d of Israel, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

We do not believe that the Bible condemns homosexuality. It teaches us to live a life of holiness and to love G-d with all our heart, soul and might. We believe that G-d is a G-d of hope and that it is our Father's will to save every human who has ever lived.

We believe that Shabbat (the 7th day of the week) is G-d's greatest blessing to His children and that Shabbat was made for man, not man for Shabbat (Mark 2:27). We also believe that the Jewish Festivals reveal G-d's awesome Plan of Salvation.

We look forward with excitement to that day, when the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of G-d, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14)
